One of our passions as a church is to find creative ways to interact with those in our community who do not know Christ. One of the ways that we do this is through our Recreation Ministry. These informal games of pick-up Basketball, Ultimate Frisbee, Volleyball, and Football give us an outstanding opportunity to invite our friends, neighbors, or co-workers to a non-threatening event where they can get to know the folks from our church and we can get to know them. We have found this to be an outstanding opportunity to begin friendships, friendships through which the love of Christ can be demonstrated and the His message shared.

Please feel free to come and bring a friend to our next Rec. Ministry event. Right now basketball is running at Middletown Methodist Church, 11902 Old Shelbyville Rd. We will be playing Sunday evenings from 7:30-10:00 on the following dates: 2/28, 3/7, 3/21.

Apologetics Equipping Class

Apologetics Equipping Class: taught by Kevin Moore:
The classes will begin March 14th and will be held directly after church (11:50- 1:15) upstairs. Please email or call Ginny Moore for more information or if you’re planning to attend, including the number of children and ages that will need childcare: ginnymoore88@yahoo.com or 615.995.4830. There will also be a sign up sheet on the coffee table after church so you can sign up there if you’d like. There is also a need for childcare for these classes, so if you’re interested in serving any of the weeks, please email or call Ginny for that too.

Prayer

Our sincere desire is to be a church that prays: a church that prays for one another, a church that prays for our community, and a church that prays for our world. To that end, we meet every other Sunday night at our building for a time of corporate prayer.

Our next prayer night will be Sunday, March 14 @ the home of Eric and Maria Grogan.
