Equipping Ministries
Ephesians 4:11, 12 tells us that God, “gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ.” In light of these verses, we, the leadership of Fellowship Church, see as our primary role the equipping of the church body for growth in their relationship with God, and increased impact in their ministry to our community. Our dream is not that we would be a church body with ministers, but a church body of ministers. The following ministries serve toward making this dream a reality:
Men’s Ministry
Our men get together at 6:00 every Wednesday morning at our church facility for fellowship and equipping. Currently, we have a choice of three different tracks offered on these Wednesday mornings. Men’s Fraternity provides men with an encouraging environment that teaches the basics of how to live lives of authentic manhood. Simply stated…it is a call to men to a noble life and a life of significance. Dad’s Huddle develops the principles of Men’s Fraternity and focuses them specifically on marriage and parenting. Husbands and fathers are challenged to live out a life of Christian masculinity in the context of the home and to develop a vision for their family as they look over the future of their family. Finally, we are offering a Bible study on the book of I Peter. This study is developed not only to gain a deeper understanding of this book of the Bible, but to give men the skill to study the Bible on their own for a lifetime.
Women’s Bible Studies
Being equipped begins with a knowledge of God’s word. We offer morning and evening studies designed not only to take an in-depth look at the Bible, but also to teach you how to study the Bible for yourself.
D-Pod
D-pods are two year, intensive, small group-based courses that are designed to equip participants with the tools they need for a dynamic walk with God and fruitful service to the church and our community. Those who take this challenging course will learn about, be encouraged in, and held accountable to the spiritual disciplines, leadership principles, basic Christian theology, and stewardship.
Children’s Ministry
Fellowship Children’s Ministry is designed to come alongside parents in their God given role of the evangelism and discipleship of their children. We desire to assist families in laying a spiritual foundation that guides the next generation into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and equips them for a lifetime of spiritual growth and service. We endeavor to instill in our kids the very same biblical values we live by as adults so that they can carry on a legacy of irresistible influence long after we’re gone. We offer age graded classes for infants up to fifth grade during our Sunday morning worship service.
Fellowship Youth
We are passionately convinced that it is the parents of our children are called to take the primary role in raising their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Fellowship Youth is designed to come alongside parents in this weighty role to equip them and encourage them. Our Youth meetings, which occur every other Friday night, are a great resource for our youth (grades 6-12) to develop lasting bonds of godly friendships, a time of intentional biblical equipping, and opportunities to serve and demonstrate the love of God to the community of Louisville and beyond.
